Marine Warnings: Fresh to Strong Southwest to Northwest winds at 15 to 25 knots with moderate southwesterly swells (2.5-3.0m) is currently enforce for waters of Makira, Temotu,  Rennell/Bellona, south of Guadalcanal and waters northeast of Malaita Provinces .​

 

General Situation:    A trough lies over Solomon Islands and links to a weak Low located over Temotu in the eastern parts of Solomon Islands.

Western Region (Western, Choiseul and Isabel Province)

Southwest to Northwest winds at 10 to 20 knots with slight to moderate seas. Scattered showers with rain areas and isolated thunderstorms. 

Further Outlook for Tuesday: Southwest to Northwest winds at 10 to 20 knots. 

Central Region (Malaita, Guadalcanal and Central Islands Provinces)

Southwest to Northwest winds at 10 to 20 knots reaching 25 knots over waters north of Malaita with slight to moderate seas. Scattered showers with rain areas and isolated thunderstorms .

Further Outlook for Tuesday: Southwest to Northwest winds at 10 to 20 knots 

Eastern Region (Makira, Temotu and Rennell/Bellona Provinces

Southwest to Northwest winds at 15 to 25 knots may reach 30 knots at times over Temotu waters with moderate to rough seas.  Heavy rain areas and thunderstorms.

Honiara Port & Surrounding Areas.

West to Northwest winds at 05 to 15 knots with smooth slight seas. Periods of rain showers and isolated thunderstorms .
