Synoptic Situation

A near stationary weak trough lies just over the northeastern parts of the Solomon Islands.

 

Forecast for the Provinces

Variable winds at 05 to 15 knots with smooth to slight seas over the northern waters. Southeast winds increasing to 20 knots over the southern waters with moderate seas. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Temotu Province ,tending isolated elsewhere.

 

Forecast for Honiara Port

East to Northeast winds at 05 to 12 knots with smooth to slight seas. Fine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms.

 

Tidal Predictions for Honiara

Low Tide will be at 11:48 am this morning (0.4 metre)

High Tide will be at 02:55 am tomorrow morning (0.8 metre)

 

Outlook for Saturday: Variable winds over the northern waters at 05 to 15 knots, southeast winds at 20 knots over the southern waters.
